My tulips are finished - and it's about time, because I need their space to plant my morning glory seeds. Here are the pictures of the last tulips to finish blooming - I love their colour
My tulips are just about finished too. I planted some pink ones last fall, and this year was quite a surprise when pink, purple, white, and pink with white stripes popped up instead! I can't complain though...
I am kind of annoyed with how late the tulips were this year - as nice as they were, they are now totally in my way, I am planting seeds and bedding plants around them, and they just look silly and out of place!
my plan is to buy 10 or 12 tulip bulbs every year in all different colours and styles and just have my side beds be a crazy mixture of different tulips
Gardening Adventures from the North started in March 2008 as an attempt to track and share my gardening experiences in Northern BC. My garden is a zone 3b, although more and more I am seeing plants hardy to zones 4 or 5 overwinter here. I am interested in sustainable gardening practices, shade gardening, seed starting and plant propagation (of which I have had little success). Hopefully as this blog evolves it will include our interior and exterior home renovations, and my experiences canning and preserving my garden delicacies.

We still have tulips blooming. You must be further ahead than us in your season.
