Those lilies of the valley make such a nice lush groundcover. I've been waiting THREE YEARS for mine to spread. I'm must live far north to not have mine be invasive...yet. My tulips are just getting into their prime. I suppose I should be taking pictures of them! Your garden is looking good.
What a wonderful colony of lov! My white ones just bloomed for the 3rd time and my pink ones for the 2nd. They are growing but definitely no where near "colony" size. I keep reading about how invasive they are. I wish! I just love the scent. --Curmudgeon
Beautiful!!! Really enjoyed your blog. Zone three whew that must be interesting! I'm sure it's a real challenge. I'd cry if all my things died every year. I get upset when it gets to 40f and my leaves start falling off. =)
Gardening Adventures from the North started in March 2008 as an attempt to track and share my gardening experiences in Northern BC. My garden is a zone 3b, although more and more I am seeing plants hardy to zones 4 or 5 overwinter here. I am interested in sustainable gardening practices, shade gardening, seed starting and plant propagation (of which I have had little success). Hopefully as this blog evolves it will include our interior and exterior home renovations, and my experiences canning and preserving my garden delicacies.

They are beautiful. I'll bet they're spectacular once they bloom.
