Getting Fancy...

I was playing with my digital camera and my photo-editor today... Let me know what you like - and any suggestions for taking "artsy" nature photos. I am not very experienced, and I do my editing in Picassa usually - it's a free program from google, and it's alright - I'm sure people who actually know what they are doing don't like it...

Great photos! I've found there's been nothing better than starting my garden blog to push me to learn to use my camera. Won't it be great to look back on these next year?

I really like the 2nd, 4th, and 5th ones, but I'm a sucker for close-ups. lol They're great!
I've found an increased interest in photography since starting our blog too. I definitely take the time to make a photo look better now than I ever did before. It's a whole new creative outlet that I had just taken for granted in the past. Have fun taking pictures!-Jen :)

Nice photos. I too have a renewed interest in photography. I'm digging the macro feature right now, but the soft focus you used also has me intrigued.

Nicely done!As others have observed, there's nothing like gardening (and blogging) to really kindle or rekindle an interest in photography. Course, it helps that digital is so easy and affordable, too!

These are great. I use Picasa too, because I don't want to spend all that money on Photo Shop to fix my pics, I want to TAKE good pics! lol

I just found you on blotanicals. We're in the same zone and we've just bought our own place. This will be our first summer here, so we're looking forward to lots of hard work.

Has the snow melted yet? How soon can you set out seedlings?

the snow is melted - but I can't put out my seedlings until after the may long weekend - so at least another month!
