I finally took my Christmas lights down...

A little late is better than never...I guess I can no longer say anything about the people that still have Santa on their roof in May...

I've also changed the look of my blog - and spent a long time choosing pictures and colours. I think today's new looks is a little less lopsided than yesterday's. I also really like the new blog roll gadget.

I've weeded out my blog roll and it is now strictly blogs with northern gardening interests like my own.

And I bought my seeds today...way too many, but alas, I think that is far too common with gardeners... I see the racks in the stores and I want them all. And yet, my garden is still under at least 2 feet of snow. I am dreaming of spring.

I still have a Christmas village set up on my piano, of little vintage cardboard houses and bottle brush trees. I let myself enjoy it for a time, until it doesn't seem appropriate anymore. That will be soon, because the weather is warming and our snow is nearly gone.
I wish you good success on your gardening endeavors!

Congrat's on getting the Christmas stuff put away...I still have some dishes on my dining rm. table that need putting in the hutch cupboard. Red and green is starting to bug me so I suppose it's time to get it done.
I like visiting gardeners from around the world so even though you are north, I still find it fascinating to see what's goin' on up there:)

Hello there. For the answer on my blog -- to the question of what I have growing now -- not too much. I only start slower growing plants that don't get too tall now. For perennials, I have a few Echinacea, primulas, the Jovibarba, and aquilegia. I am trying to start some gentians too. Large plants like Delphiniums would get too tall if started now. Most annuals and the tomatoes will be started in March and April, since I can't plant out till June.
